About Volunteering
Volunteers Are Vital To Our Success
The success of the WMHA depends on you, the volunteer. Our success is through the hard work and dedication of those who give of their time to work with our players. We have many volunteer opportunities available and encourage each family to take up a volunteer role.
- Rostered team officials: coach, assistant coach, safety, team manager
- WMHA board
And if you can't find the time to make that sort of extra commitment, please do what you can to help with team duties throughout the season, with everything from 50-50 draws to operating the score clock.
Each team REQUIRES a Head Coach, 1-2 Assistant Coaches, Manager and a Hockey Canada Safety Person, along with On-Ice Helpers during practices . Each position needs to have qualifications to help with the team.

CRIMINAL RECORD CHECK
All Volunteers (coaches, managers, safety persons, helpers & persons working closely with players) are required to get an electronic criminal record check (eCRC). Please contact Risk Manager at risk@whistlerminorhockey.com for a form.
Registration for all Clinics is through BC Hockey
New to Hockey? You will first need to get a Hockey Canada Number (HCR Number. Please send a copy of your Birth Certificate to registrar@whistlerminorhockey.com and request your number. Once you receive your number, please follow the link below to your course:
Please make sure you are taking your course through your E-Hockey account otherwise it will not be linked to your profile and you would likely have to do it again.

- Register for a Hockey Canada ID number. To do this pls email Norma at adminstrator@whistlerminorhockey.com and provide full name, address, and date of birth. The Hockey Canada registry is how all the courses are tracked.
- Complete a Criminal Record Check for the WMHA. These are good for three years. Click on this link:
