About Volunteering

Volunteers Are Vital To Our Success

The success of the WMHA depends on you, the volunteer.  Our success is through the hard work and dedication of those who give of their time to work with our players.  We have many volunteer opportunities available and encourage each family to take up a volunteer role.

  • Rostered team officials: coach, assistant coach, safety, team manager
  • WMHA board

And if you can't find the time to make that sort of extra commitment, please do what you can to help with team duties throughout the season, with everything from 50-50 draws to operating the score clock.

Each team REQUIRES a Head Coach, 1-2 Assistant Coaches, Manager and a Hockey Canada Safety Person, along with On-Ice Helpers during practices .  Each position needs to have qualifications to help with the team.

Job Descriptions for each position:

Head Coach

Assistant Coach

Team Manager

Hockey Canada Safety Person

On-Ice Helpers

All Volunteers (coaches, managers, safety persons, helpers & persons working closely with players) are required to get an electronic criminal record check (eCRC). Please contact Risk Manager at risk@whistlerminorhockey.com for a form.
