The season runs from September until mid March of the following year.
Players trying out for rep can expect to start end of August, and all other players start early September.

Hockey 1-4 (Under 7-9) is considered development hockey.  Your child does not need to have any previous experience other than having some skating ability.  If your child is U11 to U18  they should have some experience, not necessarily on a team, but at least a few hockey skills.

Hockey level is based on birth year.  It may not be possible to have siblings on the same team due to the birth year rule.  Requests to be on the same team as a friend may also not be possible as teams need to be balanced.

Yes, your child needs to have all their own gear. If your child would like to be a goalie WMHA has goalie gear for players U7 and U11.  If your child decides to be a full-time goalie and you purchase their own gear there is a registration discounted fee  for goalies with their own gear.

There are external organizations that assist families who qualify for assistance. Parents and players are required to submit their own application to those organizations. Please see our section on Financial Assistance for more details.

Yes.  There is $100 Admin Non-Refundable fee. The WMHA board will review requests for special circumstances. Please direct all refund requests to administrator@whistlerminorhockey.com. Later dates will be prorated based on the ice/coaching time used. Refunds will be credited back on the CC on file.
